Destroy Your Fate

Hide the lies
beneath the swells of agonizing waves.

Wrapped around your personal effects,
the days drown in themselves,
will we never seize another moment?
I ask nothing from you
because this latitude
only brought brought me
a pocket full of posies
and a story full of sailors remorse.
Halo Man,
I find it easier to believe in the Bogey man
rather than the deceptions
of your flailing attempts to reach higher grounds.

I'd travel the deadliest boundaries
just to be the place that death
plays with a helpless body.
Do you miss
being the jumper
on every national broadcast?
I heard from the maps
just two days ago,
and the truth was not a supermodel.
Halo Man,
life would be far easier
if you blinked yourself back into the whirlpool
from which you were born.
I'm afraid of myself when
I reach thirty stories below sea level.

Caught in some place
eating orange sliced strychnine
yet dancing with myself,
I kept our identities on the playground.
Capsized lover
when will the past guide us
to the faithless deities?
Halo Man,
my sweet marvel,
don't waste this time.
