Rewarding Myself
I have this list I've been adding to in my headspace (and on Evernote) of things I'm going to reward myself with once I get a new job, sooo.... Of course I need to make an LJ list!
So here it goes:
1. Petroglyph spree!
I want to paint myself a coffee cup like the Explosions in the Sky one I saw on their site. Or a plate that says Om Nom Noms in the middle. Because that one is much simpler it's about 5 million times more likely to happen over the coffee cup.
2. Tzedekah box
Yeahhhh so I'm not Jewish. That may be true. What's even more true is that Judaism is so beautiful to me, especially the bits about charity. I've been looking at pictures of them online and I desperately want one with a Tree of Life motif. Only problem is the one I want is about 200 smackaroos which is pretty steep for indulging an aesthetic impulse. But yeahhhh hope springs eternal and all that jazz.
3. Spectraflair nail polish
Because no life is complete without holographic particles. I want rainbow glitter all over every surface of my life. GLITTER EVERYWHERE. More specifically on my nails.
4. Over the ear headphones
There's definitely a more proper and technical term than the one I used but what does it even matter if I don't use the right name for something if everyone knows what I mean? Anywho, I want a legitimately nice one that won't poop out on me if I put it on blast for more than five seconds. I feel like my random dancing in the kitchen while I cook and clean would vastly improve if I upgraded from my shitty iPod earbuds.
5. Teavana spree!
I need tea. I need tea like I need music, which as anyone who knows me will know that means a lot. A hell of a lot. But I want to splurge and get the flowering jasmine tea from Teavana. It's just so pretty. It also tastes good, but it's mostly the pretty part that I care about.
So those are the things I plan on spending my money on once I have money to spend... Stupid bills.
