Budget Airlines

I've never taken budget airlines before, only heard of them from other who do. For my Bangkok trip, I took Tiger Airways and I finally understood why is was considered budget. When you book the tickets, you even have to state how many luggages are being checked in and if you want to increase the weight limit of those luggages from 12kg to 20kg, you have to pay for it. Once you have chosen the number of luggages to check in, you can't add anymore unless you pay another SGD 32. The leather seats of the plane are terrible, everything on board (food, drinks, etc) must be paid if you want them.

When I came back, we had to pay that $32, thanks to my father, who had only chose to check in one luggage instead of two. Just because he doesn't like checking in luggage because you had to wait when you collect them, doesn't mean that everyone else does as well. I mean, what's the rush? We were going Free & Easy, so we had all the time we need. He was the one who chose Tiger Airways, which I have no idea why since the total cost (plane tickets & the increase cost for the luggages) ended up costing more than a commercial airline, such as SIA, whose service and comfort is worth the extra payment. Even Jetstar (which is also a budget airline) cost lesser than Tiger, and they have a baggage limit of 20kg instead of 12kg, which means we didn't have to pay.

Tiger Airways is an airline I will never take again because the overall experience is just horrible...
