Well, I haven't posted in forever and Amy's been asking for something so she'd be able to pass some time at work.
There's not a whole lot going on. I've just been working insane hours lately! I've been so busy. I'm sure my friends think I'm terrible b/c I haven't returned calls or anything. But it's almost Mountaineer Week time. I'll have a life again (probably a boring one) starting Nov. 12!
I went in today (Saturday) a little before 11 to work on this stupid direct mail piece. Usually Graphics designs it and sends it to be printed up. A combination of me getting the MW schedule insanely late and graphics never returning my phone calls means I have to mock it up and get it printed somewhere. I really hope it comes out ok! I was so into working on it today that I didn't even realize how late it was when I was leaving. But it was 9:30!! The last time I'd looked at the clock it was 4:00!! I think I got it done though. I just need to make some changes to the front part, so hopefully it'll get to a print shop Monday afternoon! I'm too the point where I just don't give a shit anymore though.
Last week I got to experience my first "get out of bed middle of the night" problem. The carbon monoxide detector went off at 4 am and the girls came to get me. By the time I got there it had stopped. So we just opened the windows and I told them to let me know if it happened anymore. I figured it must be an old one (since I checked w/the housing corp. later that day and they didn't even know we had any detectors.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get back to sleep. I kept thinking of all this stuff I had to do at work and wondering if the girls would die in their sleep. So I stayed up watching I Love Lucy. I was actually quite entertained by that. (It's no Andy Giffith, but good!)
I watched Rent the other day. For some reason I had all the songs in my head so I had to watch it to hear them again. I just can't get over thinking that Daryl, from Adventures in Baby Sitting, can sing. Strange. But, the movies still great and I'm really glad I got to see it on stage.
Speaking of, we're planning to go see Ave. Q in Pittsburgh the week of Thanksgiving. That should be fun, everyone I know that's seen it has loved it!! And, although I never go to them, I love plays! I hope this works out.
I'm missing the trip to Phantom Fright Nights right now. :( Allen and Courtney went without me since I've been sick. I didn't think the cold air + roller coaster cold air would be good w/my sinus infection. Especially since my ears have been hurting! That'd kill me for sure! I'll be honest, I was surprised they were still going. It's not a big deal, but they know each other through me and I couldn't go. But whatever, I'm sure they'll have fun.
I hope I get to make it to the Fright Farm soon!! And on Halloween I want to go see Saw 4. I don't know why I want to see that movie. Everytime I watch one all I can think about is how people who watch those movies can't be normal! And the people who make it? Wow! Don't get me started.
I finally finished reading The Glass Castle. Wow, it was amazing and unbelievable. How that girl ever survived is beyond me! Now I need to figure out what I want to read next. I think I've started a different book every night so far. Eventually I'll stumble across something I feel like reading.
Well, hopefully I'll find something worth talking about next time. This was boring enough for now.
