met up with an old friend at starbucks in downtown andover. haven't ever been there but it seems nice. some girl sitting next to us kept getting up and running in and out, leaving her nice notebook computer on the table. i guess it pays to live in a safe town
it feels good to catch up with old friends... it's great to hear how other people are doing and maybe living a little bit vicariously through them... haha
on the flip side, i think i talk too much and should do more listening than talking. haha
borrowed 'Q&A' by Vikas Swarup, a novel that the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' is based on. i really want to go see the movie, but i'll read the novel first
i watch too much television on my computer. note to self: cut back
less is more. definitely applies to material goods. i've been trying to cut back in many ways. clothing, etc. it feels good :)
spending less will most definitely increase the bottom line. trying to save money for a condo for the 'rents in the near future
read a fatwallet forum discussion on millionaires and their habits, etc. one of the takeaways that i found particularly informative: find a significant other that is as like minded regarding frugality as yourself. doesn't help to save money if your signifcant other spends it away, no? i guess that's one additional qualification i should be aware of
