Fabulous crossdressing porn. The end.

- Enter Sports Metaphor Here - Gilmore Girls/Sports Night - gen
Adorable crossover in which Rory works with the Sports Night crew and everyone either loves or is terrified of her mother.

- A Study of Motherhood in Black and Grey. - Gilmore Girls - gen
A sad, thoughtful, soft-edged look at Emily Gilmore, who never knew how to be a mother to her daughter and doesn't know how to put it right now.

- Homefront - Avengers - Steve/Tony
In which Steve smiles a lot and is a great leader and sometimes thinks about suicide. Tony is intimately familiar with Steve's mostly-hidden failure to cope, and he does his best to be there and do what he can but Tony can fix machines, not people. What a magnificent look at Steve who just, isn't okay, and *that's okay, too. And Tony is pretty amazing. There's a speech that Steve makes to him, near the end, where he talks about the importance not just of having someone waiting for you when you came home from the war, but of waiting for you to *finish* coming home from the war... It really struck a chord. Sam really has a voice for those two, just the right kind of compatible-dysfunctional and charming.

- The Top-Secret Livejournal of Sherlock Holmes - Sherlock BBC - Sherlock/John, Sherlock/John/Lestrade
This is hilarious, full-stop. Totally cracktastic and fairly out-of-character, but in such a glorious way I couldn't even care. I haven't laughed this hard in I don't know how long. Sherlock's neurotic updates fifty times a day never got old, and his and John's escalating prank war around the middle of the story is probably one of the best I've ever read.

- Waiting to Spark - Avatar: the Last Airbender - Katara/Zuko
A little on into the future, a little older and a little sadder, rekindling an old never-quite-romance. Short and sweet and warm.

- a deep delight of the blood - Avatar: The Last Airbender - Katara/Zuko, kinda
In which Zuko volunteers himself for Katara's bloodbending practice, and despite themselves they find that they both enjoy it for, perhaps, not the right reasons. But it doesn't matter, because they trust each other and give each other what they need. I feel the story does deserve the pairing tag, but only barely, I think. It's about the dynamics, not the sexuality.

- Sorry That I Bruced You - DC Comics - Tim/Steph
Adorable post-everything story in which Tim deals with Steph's recent brush with death, Bruce's return, and all of the various sundry crap in his life by taking a page out of Steph's book and cutting to the chase. Really sweet, really them.

- Phantom Moments Between Each Breath - Avengers - Steve/Tony preslash
A short, thoughtful meditation on Tony and scars- especially the arc reactor, the coldest and most inhuman scar anyone could be forced to carry. Fascinating character study.

- Stand Alone Among the Wreck - Sherlock BBC - Sherlock/John
Another post-Reichenbach story in which John goes about his life, more or less, and makes sure to look after Sherlock's Irregulars in his absence as best as he can. The scene with Mycroft was perhaps my favorite, but the ending was also pretty ace.
(tags: 2'12 fandom:sherlockbbc pairing:sherlock/john post-reichenbach )
- A Serious Mistake - Sherlock BBC - Sherlock/John
In which John's PTSD kicks back in after Sherlock's little experiment in Baskerville, and Sherlock doesn't know how to fix it. Serious and a little sad and a lot warm. I always like stories that deal with Sherlock learning how to be an actualfax human being.

- Making The Most Of Your Quarter-Life Crisis - Smallville - Clark/Lex
In a universe a couple doors down where Lex never went back to Smallville, he one day walks out the door and off the reservation into a new life. Gentle, funny, and charming, just the right thing if you need to have a sweet taste in your mouth.

- Accommodations - Avengers - Steve/Tony
"Five reasons the Avengers don't want to live together, and five reasons maybe they do after all." Not particularly groundbreaking in material, but with a neat format and really great character voices. Low-key and enjoyable.

College AU, not!boyfriends just-having-sex-but-are-they-really, emotional misunderstandings, what the hell else could you possibly want out of life? I ask you.

- 5U175 - Suits - Harvey/Mike
Another epic piece of awesome from Closer, in which Harvey has been a Trek BNF since forever and Mike is the new kid who totally scopes on his territory, and both of them are sparking off each other (in a mostly friendly kind of way) while things are getting occasionally somewhat tense in the office. Secret identities! Internet dating! Harvey as a nerd, seriously, go read this now.

- Most Likely Kill You in the Morning - Doctor Who - gen
Oh, Rose. This is a story about Rose being awesome: full stop, the end. What if the Doctor didn't come back from The Girl in the Fireplace? Well, eventually, after a lot of waiting and then a lot of hard work, Rose got them home. And then she set off in search of the Doctor. The change sneaks up on her, and you could see where it was going before she did, but oh, how magnificent. Oh, Rose.

- The Case of the Empty Eyes - Sherlock/Fringe - gen
Really brilliant crossover that incorporates both fandoms beautifully. Some strange deaths are occurring in London that sends Sherlock over the pond to a scientists he knew from the asylum, and Dr. Bishop does his thing. This could have been completely cracktastic, but instead it was perfectly in-character, tender and lovely and thoughtful, a meditation about how both of them have found their way into (highly dysfunctional) families and homes that are perfectly suited to them. This is what good crossovers try to do.

- Simple, Not Easy - Avengers - Clint/Darcy, Loki/Sif
An EPIC tale that begins when Loki kidnaps Darcy because he mistakes her for Jane, and Darcy, after self-medicating from her emergency stash of Xanax, ends up telling him that she was adopted and pointing out his massive need of therapy. After that it kind of becomes a pattern, and they... bond? Perhaps somewhat in spite of themselves. And meanwhile, SHIELD assigns one of its best agents to be her bodyguard, and Darcy is pretty okay with having Clint around all the time, as it turns out. This story is laugh-out-loud funny at times, certainly, but it's also startlingly serious, and you get the sense that Darcy sometimes forgets the reality of her life when it's always getting so ridiculous. It's a long, slow road of redemption for Loki, who's got a lot to learn about appropriate emotional reactions, and Darcy's problem is that she empathizes a little too well. A good Darcy/Clint story, but Loki and Darcy are the centerpiece, no question. And a really great ending, which is of course a must.

- Murdering Us Horribly Was Also A Concern - Harry Potter - Snape/Hermione
Short and comfortable funny futurefic in which Hermione teaches at Hogwarts and favors Gryffindor horribly (in Snape's opinion) and Snape has an evil hand.
