I can tell that my dog has finally become secure in her place here, after a little more than a year, because when she's asleep and I get up and go briefly into another room, she stays asleep instead of getting up and following me.
Weird to be proud of such a little thing, huh? But she's so phenomenally needy that it's actually a really huge step. She's gotten so much better with lots of attention and a little discipline.
