Fridays are turning into my favorite days.

Eureka 4x04: The Story of O2:

DEPUTY LORNE. Dude, they snagged Lorne for Andy! I hope they keep him instead of rotating through a new body every week. On the other hand, watching something improbable and destructive happen to Deputy Andy every single week would be hilarious. I can't decide which I'd like better, but I do know that I love Sci-Fi's habit of cross-use of guest stars. Simon and Kaylee on Warehouse Thirteen before, and Jo and Zane last season. It's fun, and not trying to be subtle; just like the way they do integrated advertising.

I loved Jo reconnecting with Zane. I can't believe that a Zane who can function at GD without raising more than mild mayhem can be anything but a decent person underneath, and clearly Jo agrees with me. The moment he called her "JoJo" was just awesome. And then the ROCKET ON HER HOUSE. Poor Jo. I think her and Carter living together are going to be some awesome wacky hijinks.

I also really liked Allison fucking up dealing with her son. I'm so glad to see that there are actual consequences for Kevin suddenly being neurotypical. (Is that the proper term? I hope so.) I like that now that the joy has settled out she's starting to have trouble coping. I feel vindicated from some of the worries I had at the beginning of the season.

Overall: Zane was hilarious when high, and Fargo was startlingly competent! I always end up liking him sort of against my will, much as I imagine the rest of the characters feel.

Haven 1x04: Consumed:

Audrey and Duke doing their flirting thing is never going to get old.

This episode is genuinely both creepy and heartfelt; the scene with the dying plants at the Farmer's Market was killer, and I almost cried at the scene with the dead cows. When there are dead cows lying around and oozing black fluid and you're choked up with sympathy, that's well-done.

Oh my god, the two newspaper guys playing fashion adviser just about KILLED me. I did really love her "too sunny" yellow dress that she tried on first, though. I thought she looked classy and adorable.

I, like Audrey, though that the chef was killing everything he cooked. And I have to say that even if he's not doing it literally, then he's certainly doing it metaphorically.

And dead Jeff! The plot thickens. DEAD FISH TOO, I really hope that it's not Duke's fault. Though it doesn't look like Nate's jumping to the conclusion that it's Duke's fault, which is rare and unusual.

Ohhh, I love Audrey and Duke, I just do. The moment of heartfelt connection between them on the dock was awesome, and I love him getting all wistful about her being a cop because he doesn't "socialize" (ahahahaha) with cops. They have all the awkwardness and tension that she doesn't have with Nate, because she just seems to click with Nate. Triangles are cliche for a reason.

I also love the still-continued theme of people with powers not being evil! The younger brother spoiling everything he eats when he's upset was a weird and interesting twist, and I like that he absolutely wasn't at fault for his brother's death, that it was the angry girlfriend instead. (And I did love them threatening her with the man's power, because it was fascinating to watch her believe it, even though we as an audience know that it's true.) And Duke signing on to the Second Chance! Also awesome. I like him even more now that we've seen another side.

Overall: Seriously, I just love this show to pieces. Why did I keep seeing that people didn't like it? I don't understand.
