I've been working on that Supernatural story I was using to procrastinate my Holmes BigBang, which was the one that lost the most in the Great Laptop Whatever of oh-ten, and it's annoying to have to redo but the more I've done on it the more that I think it's actually for the best. I've been planning out the couple scenes I lost and there's a couple significant changes, which I don't think would have occurred to me to make and I might not have had the patience to redo them if I didn't have to. Plus I was forced to rework the totally weak opening scenes, which is also for the best, and totally changed the way that two characters relate to each other. I started working on this in the middle of season five, and my idea of Gabriel changed pretty drastically after "Hammer of the Gods," especially as he relates to Dean. I never would have gotten around to making those edits if I didn't have to.
Long story short: gah, writing is hard, y'all.
