While desperately procrastinating on my Sherlock Holmes BigBang story, I've been poking around at my fic archive page on Dreamwidth again, trying to wrangle all the links into something resembling order, and the process has left me thinking about how I'm going to handle fic posting in the future. It really just makes sense to post longer stories to dreamwidth, because then I don't have to deal with the epic pain in the ass that is making "multiple posts for length." Shorter stories may be a different matter, but... I don't know. I'm already posting to AO3 as well, and I finally got all of my tags basically cleaned up and officially wrangled over on dreamwidth. (Mostly. There are a couple that I'm debating how I want to handle them, but basically: tags have been wrangled.) Livejournal is still the center of my fandom community (my flist is my homepage and I don't want to lose any of that, but posting is increasingly a pain in the ass and I want to streamline. Maybe I should just keep on making official archive posts on my livejournal with links to both the dw post and AO3? And keep comments welcome on the livejournal post, obviously. That's what I did for Every Me and Every You and it seemed to work fine? But if there was anyone reading my journal who felt a burning hatred of that system and was too polite to tell me at the time, now's the time to speak up! I don't want to be a jerk to the few people who actually stick around for my bullshit rambling.

Meh. The internet is complicated.
