Against my better judgment...

Here's a video of me playing the song I wrote for Daniela at her bday party.

Enjoy, I hope.

omg, it has been SO LONG since I heard you play! You have *amazing* tone!! (lol, and even better relative to the just-okay tone that I hear at tws ^^)

I loved the ornamentation / grace notes you put in :-)
And what mode was that? It gave this scottish[?]-ish, new-agey going-through-forests-and-forgotten-streams image to me ... [but that's just me] .

I also liked the form you gave to it! How the first section was kind of float-y and contemplative ... and then the next section brought in a little bit more flow and movement .. and then the third section burst into even more energy (while still remaining flowing), increasing the range of pitches used a little higher from all its energy..

then bursting into an spiritted energetic dance!

and then the final section returning solidly to something reminscient of the first three sections, and a bit of that energetic dance flourish at the end.

Neat way to present both "flowing" styles and "dance" styles!!

PS

Yay for human musicstands :-)
And yay for batteries NOT dying in the middle of performances!

PPS
THANK YOU for posting your playing again; it was a treat hearing you play. I miss you!

Haha, wow, my music got analyzed! I feel so special!

I'm not sure what mode it was (my theory BLOWS) but I'm pretty sure it was just in regular old a minor. My favorite key lol. The ornamentations were improvised and I think I overdid them at some parts, but I had fun! That's one of the things I love about Celtic music...you're expected to mess around with it and make it your own (which I guess counts less in this case because it IS my own...but whatev.)

I like your forests/streams interpretation...I believe Daniela said something about an epic quest. But hey, whatever it makes you feel, as long as it makes you feel, that's fine by me. I'm not really sure what it makes me feel...just kind of festive, like I want to celebrate life.

And yes, human musicstands are the bestest! *Hugs Anthea* :D
Lol I actually had a stand with me, I was just too lazy to set it up.

Thanks for the good review, it was very encouraging and I may be brave enough to post something else later. =)
