The Burlington Music Festival just called me to tell me I won a scholarship (yay!), and asked me to play in their final showcase concert thing (double yay!) in which I could win another, bigger scholarship (triple yay and a half!). Well there were some people I could've called but it's such short notice, and I haven't played the piece since the festival (which was two weeks ago), so I wouldn't have done very well. Oh well.

It's too late, I already told them I couldn't do it. It's okay though, somebody else will have the opportunity.

It's so cool that you're getting all these opportunities!!

I can ask around my school for a free accompanist. (There's two I know of who might do me a favour and they are REALLY fabulous.) Give me all the details (where, when, what you're playing, etc.) and I'll see what I can do, okay?

It's way too short notice, I wouldn't have had time to rehearse with an accompanist, and I already told them I couldn't do it. That way someone else will have the opportunity, which is fine.

wow, it's incredible that you can take good light to this and be at peace with this. I myself deal terribly with such things. Maybe I can learn to adjust like you did here, in time?

I still think you're a remarkable person, and I miss you. I can honestly say that I think you're a remarkable person, because of all those phone conversations and feeling of being understood that I got those years when I hung around with you at tws. And how I would phone you up and not think that I'd be able to speak well, but then somehow things just flowed and you were so earnest and natural and I felt at ease and things just worked out, and after hanging up I'd always feel so glad that I had phoned you.
