1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on

1. What you wanted to be when you grew up as a child it is still the same as now? If it is wasn't what was it?
Yes and no. I had a few career aspirations as a child. For some time I wanted to be an actress (...though really I just wanted to be famous), and then, of course, I wanted to be in a girl band (again, to be famous). I've pretty much given up on those dreams, although I play the drums, so you never know if that band thing will come true. :-) I no longer yearn for fame, though. The one that's sort of still the same is teaching. I first watched
Matilda back when I was, oh... 8 or so, probably? and I wanted to be a teacher because of Miss Honey. I kept thinking I wanted to be a teacher until a couple of years ago, when I realized that I wanted to be Miss Honey, rather than just be a teacher. It still might happen, but it's not really a goal of mine. I am planning to study child development, though. After that I'll just need to find a cute little cottage and a prettier name. ;-)
2. Why do you write? Especially pr0n? Why do you like certain pairings?
I've always read a lot, so I feel comfortable with words and language, I guess, and I like the way the actual process of writing itself can help you explore a subject or idea. Fic-wise, I write because I am constantly in search of that beautiful, rare (for me) feeling they call "flow," which I was lucky enough to experience when I wrote
Chocolate last year. The words flowed onto the page with no input from me and it's the closest I've ever come to feeling high. I want to feel that again. In the meantime, I like fanfic as a way for me to get better at writing in a fun, supportive environment. It's good to feel creative, and it also always feels nice to have other people read your fic and respond to it. Although I always sometimes stress myself out trying to write something for a fic challenge, the sense of accomplishment I get from writing something, especially something I think is any good, is worth it. It's fun. :-)
As for writing porn... All the cool kids were doing it. :-) No, okay, actually... The first piece of porn I wrote was
Seems I Had My Mind On You (Don/Charlie) for
neur0vanity at the
numb3rs_newyear challenge (which
dsudis told me to sign up for, so really we can blame her). NV in her request had simply written, "NC-17, go crazy." I'd read a lot of porn but was completely terrified at the prospect of writing it myself. Somehow I did it, and it's... well, it's not my best, but I think it's not terrible, so. I guess I write porn because I like getting people hot and bothered. *shrugs* It's different, it's fun, it's naughty, it's very challenging to do well.
Let's see, as for pairings... While it's true I have certain 'ships and certain recurring pairings in my fic, I'm honestly not that OTP about it. My favorites are the ones that I find particularly hot or particularly fun, but I'm afraid I can't explain it any further than that. I just checked through my tags to see exactly how varied my pairings are and I was kind of surprised to find I haven't written any Dean/Jo. I guess that's one of my (not so) sekrit 'ships. And I almost wrote some Jensen/Chad the other day. :-) I will confess that I am not above writing a pairing just because I think the people look hot together.
3. Do you like to cook and bake? What are your favorites if you do?
Yes, I do, although I'm too lazy to do it often. One of my favorite things to make is the Sour Cream Apple Coffee Cake from
The Cake Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum. I recently made some pretty good lasagna. At Thanksgiving/Christmas, I make pumpkin pie. I also regularly make tortillas, guacamole, spaghetti and tomato sauce... Hm. I guess that's about it. I would like to cook more. I love food shopping. I want to learn how to bake bread.
4. Who would you like to visit on your flist? Why?
ignipes, because she's posted the most gorgeous pictures of the area around her home in Colorado. And she's fun. :-) But, um, honestly, I can think of reasons to visit everyone on my flist. I wish I could!
5. Tell us a little about your thoughts on your favorite, music, book and TV show.
Um! I listen to so much different music, I can't narrow it down even remotely to "favorite." But I listen to a lot of country music, which I always think is kind of funny for a girl from the San Francisco Bay Area. I grew up on drinkin' and cheatin' songs. :-) My favorite book, again, is hard to choose, but I do love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I've read that a good four or five times, I think. My favorite TV show is Supernatural, and it's completely taken over my brain and my heart. It's ridiculous. I've been catching up on a few other shows lately, too, and have discovered I also love Friday Night Lights and Psych. And of course there's always Numb3rs, which seems to alternately thrill me and piss me off. :-P
Whew! That got long. Alright, now it's y'all's turn. Comment to be interviewed. :-)
