Okay, first of all, I just checked IMDb for the episode title and discovered that one of the plot keywords there is "Babe Scientist." Hee!
Sooo... Tonight was alright. Somehow it wasn't quite as exciting as it usually seems, but maybe that was just my mood tonight or something. I was worried the episode would make me all paranoid about water, but mostly now I'm just a little paranoid about terrorism in general.
It amuses me that TPTB set up Captain Adams (who, BTW, is pretty damn sexy) as this villain from the very beginning, just by having him question Charlie's math--so it was easy for us to dislike him when it turned out he was a bad guy ("I knew that guy was a bastard! Did you see how he treated Charlie? Of COURSE he's a terrorist!")
Despite not finding it "exciting," per se, I did find this episode interesting and easy to follow. Too often I find myself completely lost while watching this show, and that didn't happen tonight. So yay.
Okay, now on to the good stuff... :-)
Don/Liz were kind of cute tonight. That scene at the end made me half-smile, half-cringe. On the one hand, aww, they're there for each other and yadda yadda aren't they cute, but on the other hand, her response--"You've got my back, right?"--is only going to set up more guilt and feelings of responsibility (as if Don needs any help in this department!) if she does get hurt. But really, all of that doesn't matter because HOODIE. OMG. I loved seeing Don in that hoodie. He was adorable. :-)
I did think it was funny that Colby hadn't picked up on Don/Liz. Really? I thought they weren't being very subtle about it. I thought everyone knew. But, I don't know, as always Colby is the last to know (because we have to keep up the dumb jock appearance, maybe? Oy).
Charlie elicited a lot of "Oh, Charlie's" from me. Poor baby all frustrated and worried and just trying to HELP and why is his brother being such an ASS about it and oh, daddy, help please? I wanted to give him a hug. Don I wanted to give a little smack and THEN a hug. ;-)
I miss Megan. I was just starting to really like her when they took her away, haha.
Although I read and sometimes write eppescest, I don't generally see it on the show, but... I don't know. That last scene between the brothers made me think slashy thoughts. I guess it was probably mostly due to Don being with Charlie instead of Liz, at least for the moment.
It always annoys me that the main characters don't get the same protective gear as the rest of the team. I get it, they're pretty, now give them helmets so they can STAY pretty. Please.
Erm... I think that's it. Not much to say about this one. I enjoyed it, but it was far from my favorite.
