Numb3rs fic: Just Another Day (Colby/Charlie, Ian, Millie, Don, PG-13)

I have to be honest, though, and say that I feel like this fic (and more specifically, this character swap) had a lot more potential than I fulfilled in this version. This was my first week of classes at a new school, so I'll blame that and hope to do

Wow, now that was an ambitious undertaking! I admit I'm glad someone other than me gave Ian a doctorate, but you gave him glasses too? /dies/ Oh, I may have to ask for more in this universe. The thing is? I don't want Alan to date either of them. But if I have to choose? Since I enjoyed the wink I think Ian should flirt with Alan just to make him blink in surprise. LOL I was never a fan of Alan dating his son's boss so I'd prefer that be a part of canon you don't cleave to. It's enough to have Ian in Millie's job IMHO. Though Colby's idea of the legendary Millie Finch from the Army rather cracks me up. Hee!

OMG! I had to run right over here and read this before even updating the master list because You Wrote It!!! *g* I loved Dr. Edgerton and how poor Colby's expectations were dashed. I've got such a big smile on my face just imagining the scenes you've painted here. If I saw them onscreen I'd probably bust out laughing. Especially Colby being jealous. *g*

should Alan start dating Ian or Millie

O_O I vote for parallel sequels so we can see him dating BOTH! I'd love to see Alan with a Millie who would spend 15 minutes lecturing on fresh coyote scat, but I'd also kill to see him with Dr. Edgerton, who winks at Charlie and thinks he'd look like Bond in a tux (even if it turns out he was sort of fibbing, like Millie did *g*).

Wow! I wish I'd thought of that switch... :beams: I second Emma's vote for more in this 'verse.

I also think it's best if Ian just flirts with Alan - though I wouldn't mind Millie flirting with somebody too. Larry maybe? or Ray? I'd say Colby but I don't advocate squirm-inducing unwanted flirtage so I'd rather she picked someone who didn't see her as grandmotherly.
