Sometimes there's nothing better than writing an angry letter to an irresponsible corporation. Like, when Bacardi launches a disgusting, misogynistic ad campaign!

To whom it may concern:

I am horrified and disgusted by Bacardi's recent "Get An Ugly Girlfriend" advertisement campaign (http://www.mccanndigital.co.il/Cannes09/Breezer_Minisite.html). This kind of cruel and misogynistic advertising is degrading and irresponsible and contributes to the global problem of physical objectification and denigration of women. That your company would use this concept and language in an ad *targeted at women* is mindblowing.

I am requesting that you immediately remove this website and the associated Facebook group, and issue an apology for this revolting, misogynistic campaign. Until you do so I will be boycotting your products and encouraging my friends to do so as well.

FYI, if the general contact link in that post doesn't work (it didn't for me, and for others in the ontd_political post), go to bacardi.com and click on the Feedback link at the bottom. (If you're under your local legal drinking age, obviously you'll want to bump up your birth year.)
