I have good grandparents...
Okay, so, since today is my birthday (!!), my grandpa called, and my grandma sent me a card. While I was talking to my grandpa, I told him I wasn't really celebrating much today, because I have this paper to write, so he asked what it was on, and I told him it's arguing for the legalization of gay marriage. He said, "Ah, well you can add my signature to that!" and proceeded to tell me about the nice gay couple he and his wife had bought their house from back in the day, who have been together for something like 35 years.
Then, the card from my grandma said, you know, happy birthday, and then at the bottom, she'd written, "Don't forget to register to vote!" :-)

This morning, while wondering if my necklace was on straight, I thought, hmm, I need to make/get a necklace with a big round pendant on it, so I can feel whether it's straight or not. I got home, ate lunch, then opened the present from my aunt and uncle, and lo and behold! It was a necklace with a big round pendant on it! YAY. hehe. It's made out of shell, and it's strung on a black cord.
OKAY, NOW I am going to go write. Schoolwork. Not dress!fic, or journal entries, or love notes to Kussa. No. Schoolwork.
ETA: My daddy just got me an eggnog caffe latte. It's delicious. But I'm kind of getting sleepy drinking it. What? Makes no sense.
Also, I forgot to mention earlier that I wrote a SPN ficlet last night that I'm actually a little bit proud of, so maybe I'll type it up and post it tonight. Or... now. Maybe. (I wrote it by hand! In my pink notebook! It was funny, I just sort of got in this mood and started writing, and the whole thing is a bit different than what I normally write.)
