Yeah. I didn't know where it was going when I wrote it and it sort of whacked me over the head, too. But, unfortunately, that's where it went. I did put 'angst' in the warnings for a reason...

Glad you liked it. But yeah, it killed me when I wrote it, too. I only had the first couple moments in my head when I took the prompt and then the rest came pouring out (no pun intended) - I was a little depressed when the first draft was finished.
