I'm halfway through hackthis's recent Southland fic and I'm pretty much blown away by it's brilliance. It's gritty and edgy, the characters are real in every sense, and LA is like another vividly critical character in the story, alive and pulsing inside the words. Seriously, even if you know nothing of Southland this is unbelievable.
