Reflecting is difficult in terms of looking back at a period of time, analyzing the data, and coming up with conclusions. It never seems quite that cut and dry really, so many bittersweet memories and ambivalent feelings crowd the table, it's unreadable.
I do know this, and it's a bold statement, so brace yourself.
2007 was the most important year of my life.
"X marks the spot not when a life begins but when a life begins to matter."
2007 marks a year of miraculous change and self discovery for me; a year of painful realizations and pleasant epiphanies.
It is all so unreal to me.
Regardless, I think I owe a thank you to everyone who helped me through the weeks where I couldn't eat and couldn't sleep and just generally felt like shit as well as the people who adventured, partied, danced, drove, and conversed with me afterward. I appreciate every handshake, hug, and kiss I've received over the past year.
So yeah, thank you.
