I was hoping to find a way down that wouldn't involve jumping. Those thorn bushes wouldn't make a very soft landing... [And after what happened during the draft, falling from another tree wasn't something he was really looking forward to.]

There was a baby bird that fell out of its nest. I heard its mother calling for help, so I carried it back up. [A soft laugh.] Though I didn't expect to end up staying there for so long.
