Ion is having a difficult time in Luceti as of late.
The last few months of Fall hit him rather hard, with the combination of the Infiltration and the taxing Halloween experiment still hanging over his head. Nephry's experience following the draft towards the end of December didn't make matters any better. His most recent kidnapping has only further served to deteriorate his emotional state. Never before has he experienced as much pain as he did at that time. Not only did his health take a rather large hit, but the experience left him with quite a few nasty scars that will only continue to serve as reminders for what has happened. And, even though the alternative may very well have been his own demise, he still holds himself responsible for Luke falling ill after helping him to the clinic that night.
In regards to other things, the recent become-what-you-love experiment has begun to make Ion realize his growing feelings towards Anise. He still hasn't come to terms with these feelings, mostly due to his inexperience with anything dealing wth love or feelings stronger than friendship.
Most recently, Ion's discussion with Luke involving souls has thrown him for a loop. It has forced him to look at his own mortality in a different light and for the first time in his life, he feel afraid of death. The idea of having a soul, something that will live on after your death, isn't one Ion has never considered for himself. It wasn't so much that he thought he lacked one; he just never thought about it. The idea was, more or less, not applicable to him. However, the fact that he cannot recall anything from the time he was sent back has led him to the conclusion that when he died, he simply stopped existing, because he doesn't have a soul. More than ever before, Luceti has become a final destination in his mind.
It will take some time before he can bring himself to accept this.

Anise TatlinHaving spent nearly the entirety of his short life by Anise's side, it's no wonder Ion considers Anise to be his best friend.
Even after learning the truth about his existence, Anise remained loyal to him. Despite her betrayal, he believes her to be the most dependable person he knows. Ion never blamed her for his death. He just hopes one day she can forgive herself for what she's done.
As selfish as it is, he's so glad to have the chance to be by her side once more.

Dist the ReaperDist is a very complex person. Although they spent their time in Auldrant on opposing sides, things are much different in Luceti. There's no longer a Score for them to be divided on, and with Professor Nebilim alive and well, Dist really has no reason to be on that opposing side anymore.
Nevertheless, Ion has already begun considering Dist a good friend. Although there is still a lot of work to be done before he can convince Dist of this fact.

Luke fon Fabre Ion has always liked Luke, even back when they first met.
He was loud and childish, but he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. And looking past that prickly outside, Ion could see well enough through his actions what kind of person Luke really was. After all, he was the one who offered to protect Ion in the Cheagle Woods (even if his way of offering hadn't been the nicest way to word it). But more than just that, Luke was a different kind of person from everyone else Ion had met at that point. Everyone always treated him kindly and with respect because he was the Fon Master. But Luke, who knew so little of the world he was put into, didn't treat Ion like that. Ion was just Ion, and Luke used that same impolite bluntness on him as he did everyone else. Where the others found him annoying, Ion found it to be like a breath of fresh air.
Not to say the change in Luke wasn't an improvement, of course. On the contrary: the fact that Luke was strong enough to pull himself up from his own sins is one of the things Ion truly admires about him. And even with that change, Luke stayed Luke. He was still kind, still considerate... just much better at showing it than he had been previously. Even after learning he was a replica, he was able to accept it and move forward. For a replica like Ion, who had simply accepted his role as a replacement for the previous Fon Master Ion, watching that change in Luke was inspiring.
Even so, things are different in Luceti. Although they really aren't that far away from each other in terms of what time they're from, the fact that Luke is still unaware of Ion's death makes Ion feel a little uneasy. He chose not to say anything when he realized Luke was a replica after seeing Asch, thinking that the truth would only hurt him. For those same reasons, the last thing he wants is for Luke to learn about his death; especially in a setting like Luceti, where it would only bring unnecessary pain.
But the fact that Luke doesn't know about his death has put a barrier between them. They've already had the chance to speak to each other, replica to replica, in a way they never could back home. But for Ion, so many things he'd want to talk about would inevitably circle back to his demise. As much as he wishes he could talk to Luke and open up to him, so long as that information is kept hidden, there's always going to be something holding him back.

Tear Grants Tear was one of Ion's first friends, and is definitely one of his closest. On top of being strong, she's someone you can always depend on; Ion really respects her. She's almost like the older sister he never had, particularly in Luceti where they even live under the same roof.
It makes Ion so happy that he was able to use the life he was given to save Tear's. Truthfully, it had been Ion's intention to remove Tear's miasma by sacrificing himself even before he was laying on the ground, dying. In a sense, it almost worked out for the best; he doesn't know whether the others would have gone along with his idea otherwise, after all...
But things are a little different in Luceti. There's a part of Ion that feels like he should talk to Tear about it, that he needs to talk to her about it. He knows now just how much guilt Anise felt over his death, and a part of him is worried Tear might share some of the same feelings, given his sacrifice for her sake. But it's not exactly an easy thing to bring up, and his recent conversation with Nephry actually marks the first time he's seriously spoken about his death at all since arriving.
Even so, having the chance to see her again, alive and healthy, makes him happier than he'd ever be able to put into words. Knowing that she'll be able to live a long, happy life once she returns to Auldrant has help put him at peace with the fact that he won't be returning himself.

Ion doesn't know too much about Riku right now other than his name. And while he isn't sure what, he could tell the first time they spoke that something wasn't right with Riku. He seemed so upset, and Ion wishes there were something he could do to help him... of course, Ion also doesn't know that Riku's normal form isn't a heartless. And while Ion doesn't mind the one-sided conversations, he does wish there were an easier way of communicating with him; even writing seems a bit difficult when all you have is claws.
If he were to learn about how Riku's form changed, he'd certainly offer to help him in whatever way he could, even though there isn't really much he could do...

Ion doesn't really know enough about Xion to have an opinion on her just yet. From what he knows of her, he thinks she has a very lovely singing voice... and Ion loves music. Plus, given she's all in love and stuff with his replibro, Luke, they'll probably be getting to know each other eventually. Then they can bond over being two year olds and stuff.
