Why does the post office have to be closed for Gerald Ford's funeral? It's not like he was even elected. I need to get this yaoi out to Utah.
I don't seem to be very good at this LJ thing these days. I should probably talk about my birthday being a Czech holiday in which Satan and Santa really are the same person, or how my parents came down for a few days and I almost had a nervous breakdown in the middle of Target, but then we went to see Casino Royale and all that violence calmed me down. Or that party I went to in a Southside loft full of gears and valves that if turned would very possibly have transformed the whole building into a steam powered Gundum, which would then, obviously, fight the Brew House. Or Vampire Christmas. Or falling into a vicious circle of reading Harry Potter meta until four in the morning, and learning all these things they should have taught me in college, like alchemy and semiotics. Which as far as I can tell are the same thing. Or a very thoughtful jess_s showing up on my doorstep to hand me half a bottle of champagne, because I'd decided to stay in on New Years Eve. But I don't think I'll be writing about any of that.
I've got about a million "resolutions" this year, but the only one I'm posting here is Stop being a shut-in. We'll see how that goes.
