On Friday I went to see Celebration and the Rogers Sisters with robots_suck. The Rogers Sisters were pretty good, I really liked the songs where the guitar player just played the same chord and you didn't know if she actually knew how to play the thing. As it turns out she does; it's nice to see someone who can play guitar but knows when not to. A bit rock and roll for my taste, but noisy enough for me to forgive them for it.

When they anouced their last song a group of non-drunken obnoxious teenage hipsters ran up to the front and started dancing annoyingly. Which was really confusing. Especially as it was slower than all their other songs.

Celebration are ex-members of Lovelife, one of my all time favourite bands. They had a fantastic three tiered organ the organist played with both hands and both feet, (or just his feet while playing guitar) and Katrina, who could well be described as a three tiered vocalist, talked about ancient Rome and trancending phyisical existance. They're that sort of band.

Afterwards we went that cafe on Ellsworth and talked about vampires and working for Google. The waitress gave me a free slice of rasberry cheesecake for no appearent reason.
