(no subject)
This post was started last night.
Didn't get home until two. There was still a lot of work to be done before we could call the old place done... Only saw one drunktastic driver on the way in. But there were a lot of people on the street still. But it was a warm night, a good night to party, I suppose. Anyway, I've caught Jeff's virus, as I knew I would. I'm still going to work tonight, of course, but I'm glad I have tomorrow off. Seems like I'm getting sick every other month this winter.
Leaving the old place for the last time was surprisingly sad. Once everything was out, Andy and I sat on the living room floor and talked for about an hour, reminiscing about all the silly and crazy things that happened in that old apartment.
Anyway, my 2010 in review...
January
Spent New Year in North Carolina with my dad and Tami. Visited my grandparents in Hendersonville. We adopted Molotov. It snowed a lot. We rescued a man who had fallen on the ice and crushed his shoulder. I started gardening indoors. Ian got his license suspended, so I drove him to school many a time.
February
I started my moss terrarium. It snowed again. I hung out with Craigger a lot. Working at AHS was really stressing me out, and I was depressed most of the month.
March
It snowed AGAIN. Ian quit at AHS. Played a lot of Pokemon SoulSilver. Patrick got his driver's license. My mantises hatched and I released most of them. I bought my Calycanthus. We built The Fort and had people over several times to hang out in it. FWA!
April
The battle with leaky plumbing began in the apartment. Patrick took Molotov to live at my mom's. Went back on meds for my shoulders. Mia started to change into a normal house cat. I got bit at work for the first time. Saw a semi full of pine straw on fire.
May
Things REALLY started to decline at AHS. My car got flooded. Patrick got fired. I hit a starling with the rig van. Andy started his Cartoon Network internship. Went to Star Bar for the first time.
June
A moped crashed into us. I got fired. I released my praying mantis. I turned 24. We went to the family reunion in Morrow Mountain, NC. Mia got an eye infection and I wanted to work for Dearborn Animal Hospital. Had a huge falling out with Cyril.
July
Jeff and I fossil hunted in North and South Carolina. Went to a lot of unsuccessful job interviews. I got on unemployment.
August
Saw Scott Pilgrim 3 times. We had a small house party. I almost got in trouble with unemployment when AHS tried to take it all back, but they lost. I took my hostess job. I taught a small group how to roll sushi.
September
Broke my glasses and switched back to contacts. Missed Dragon*Con for the first time since 2003. Got noticed by Arbor Teas and tried over a dozen of their offerings for free. Groupon made work insane. Mom had Scoopy.
October
Patrick, Jeff, and I visited Aunt Becky in Florida. Stopped to briefly fossil hunt in Andalusia. Work was still crazy. My car got booted. Mom still had Scoopy.
November
My sister revealed that she is pregnant. Saw Aesthetic Perfection and Combichrist. Spent one night in North Carolina with Jeff for Thanksgiving. Worked my ass off. Mom released Scoopy.
December
Started playing Warcraft casually. We finally moved. We were both really sick. Christmas happened, but mostly we spent our time moving.
