I always feel so much better about myself when my hair is freshly blackened.
Anyway, I'm reading a great book right now. It's called The Fox Woman by Kij Johnson. It's set in medieval Japan, and written from three viewpoints, all as if they were writing in a detailed diary. It's a very furry-centric book also, being told from not only the view of a human husband and wife, but from the view point of a wild vixen who becomes fascinated and enamored with human life (and Yoshifuji, the husband in the story). It's full of formal Japanese culture, folklore, and customs, so it's very interesting, at least to me...
I realized a few hours ago that I left a note I'd been writing to Jeff at work when there were no customers... I just walked off without it, leaving it half-finished on the counter where the customers bring their stuff. *sigh* Great. Oh well, at least I hadn't written anything interesting yet. I'll probably be teased about it in the morning.
My shoulders are twitching. Ouch.
