Empire Builder II
Upon arrival a sleep car attendant offered me champagne, which I declined. There's also a box of complimentary...stuff. Some edible, some kosher, some both, some neither. Night creme?!?!
There's a sight seeing lounge, with larger windows than in a sleeper. The lounge is usually crowded as it provides the best view for people sitting in an aisle seat in coach. From my room, I had to pass two coach cars to get to the sight seeing car, and I have to tell you, in the early morning, those people looked miserable. Some people were curled up on two adjoining seats while others could only strech out in their one seat. I sympathize with those folks, and I may yet empathize with them as well. I'm flying back to Boston on the red eye, not taking the train back.
