Quest driving me mad

Anyone have any advice (apart from the less-than-helpful wiki page) on defeating the Spaghetti Demon at the end of the Nemesis Guild quest? My Lvl 16 Pastamancer is having a hell of a time with this bad boy, even with Entangling Noodles. My strategy so far has been to just buff-up my HP and hit it with whatever I can (Weapon of the Pastalord, ( Read more... )

Don't waste a pufferfish spine on this monster.

You are a mysticality class, which means that your best attacks are spells. Entanglement is essential; you will never kill this monster without using it.

Buff your moxie as high as you can. Connery's Elixir of Audacity is your friend. No matter what your moxie, this monster will hit you once in every three rounds if it is not entangled. If it hits you more than twice, it will kill you unless you restore using scented massage oil or red pixel potion in between hits. If it hits you at all, use one of these healing potions after. I have used scented massage oil each time I've killed this monster. It has the added effect of stunning your opponent for one round, when you use it during combat.

You can use entangling noodles repeatedly. Use them twice in a row, then at least once every three or four attacks. This is essential to killing it.

My formula:
- Ferrigno's Elixir of Power OR Potion of Temporary Gr8ness OR Tomato Juice of Powerful Power
- Connery's Elixir of Audacity
- Scented Massage Oil at the ready
- auto-attack option set to off
- use an attacking familiar

Enter combat, praying for a first hit. If you get hit, use scented massage oil AFTER your first entanglement spell.
Entangle.
Entangle.
Weapon of the Pastalord,
Weapon of the Pastalord.
Entangle.
Weapon of the Pastalord.
Scented massage oil as needed.
Etc.

I'm not the one you aimed this information at, but it just helped me a ton. Thanks.

A couple things the above forgot:
* Use Noodles of fire first, then blast (or summon) for the next two rounds.
* A blocking familiar is also good, although perhaps less reliable.
* With the recent change you can summon your pasta guardian the turn after NoF. This is especially useful if the guardian blocks or does significant damamge.

Like so:
NoF
Summon
Entangle
Blast (or heal if needed)
Entagle
Blast (or heal if needed)
etc.

Replace Summon with Blast if your guardian sucks.
