95 - just because you can't see the stars during the day doesn't mean they're gone

I decided to impose on Kyouya and move in with him. As much as I like cooking my own meals, it's nice to trade off with someone else. So, you can find me at Memoria apartments room #402 if you need me.

Good job on your exams, students. With that week without school (thanks to the disappearing buildings at the end of November..) it was tough, but it looks like people managed to pull through, just barely. I'm proud of you all, both students and faculty.

Another friend of mine has returned to his home. Fay left not long after Kurogane... Sometimes I wonder if the island does these things on purpose. In this case, almost certainly so; I'm not sure Fay could've made it without Kurogane's...support.

*stops by room 206, quite unannounced, with a steaming pot of curry with rice!*

Kyouya's been a big help making me a better cook. It shouldn't be too spicy, but I brought extra milk just in case. Would you like some?

[Filter to Hibari, unrelated to the visit to room 206]

*mutters one sentence while passing by him in the hall at school* ...The onsen reservation is in for the weekend.

*also, puts...certain purchases...inside Hibari's closet while he was out, after Ginko finished shopping*

[Public again!]

I've remembered more. If you'd like to hear an interesting story, then you should hear about this. It is also...very relevant to the emotions of many of our older residents, here. ...Well. See for yourself.

While walking through the forest one day, I met a girl who fell from the sky. She couldn't remember anything at all, not even her name. She was somehow faded as if a ghost; that's why she survived the fall. I couldn't do much but try and feed her medicine to bring her back to her human state, and after a few days of traveling with her tagging along behind, she regained some of her color, as well as her memories; her name was Fuki. We found the village she'd come from, and it became apparent that everyone there had just given up looking for her, assuming that the scatter-brained teenager had run off on her own. The only one who was really happy to see her was the son of her employer, a young man named Seijiro.

He invited me to his father's house in thanks for rescuing her, and explained that he'd been planning on asking for Fuki's hand in marriage, but his father would never agree to it on account of her strange nature and her insistence on seeing strange beings that no one else could see. Seijiro never saw them either, but it didn't bother him; it was quite obvious the young man was in love. I didn't really want to, but Fuki insisted I return for their wedding. However, when I did months later, I found that things hadn't gone so smoothly.

After I had left, apparently Fuki had exhibited strange behavior; she couldn't keep her feet on the ground when a breeze blew by. It was as if she had no weight at all. No matter what she tried, she couldn't keep herself from blowing away. Seijiro was already struggling to convince his father to give them his blessing, and this only made things worse. Finally, Fuki's form completely disappeared from everyone's sight altogether.

I could tell that Fuki had been pulled over to the "mushi"'s side of existence. Even as Seijiro sat and told me what happened and as I listened, I could see Fuki sitting in the rafters of the room where we were. While my medicine could help bring her back to the human side, the true missing ingredient was a real wish to return. I explained to Seijiro that he was the one reason that she would want to be human, that he made her feel that way... He had to accept her for what she was, accept her as herself. Because of his insistence that she act more normal so that his father would accept her, he had pushed her away.

I left, leaving it in his hands.

And then...

There was a wedding. A strange wedding. The guests talked about it for months afterward, of the strange sight of a groom and no bride. The groom acted as if the bride were there, however, going so far as to offer his invisible bride the ceremonial sakazuki for her to drink. The village was convinced that he'd gone mad, and after that he moved into a house on the outskirts of the village apparently by himself. People who passed by could see him having conversations with no one at all.

...but then, one day, I heard that Fuki had returned, almost as if out of thin air. She didn't have any more problems of being whisked away into the air ever again.

I wonder for how long he still couldn't see her, but still kept on.. Heh. *wistful smile*

(( 3% memories regained from winning the memory raffle. BELOW THE CUT IS THE MOST HAPPY AND CUTE MUSHISHI STORY I HAVE FOR GINKO. Read it, I promise it's worth it even though it's kinda long. *3* Also, Ginko bought lots of stuff, but yeah he's still got so much money left over from working for over 2 years so yeah! All good. He's reserved a night for two at the onsenn, though he didn't put Hibari's name down, since SECRET BOYFRIENDS no one will knowww. Also he bought a really nice kimono. And a black wig. All very stealthily so no one but the store clerks saw him lol ))
