A Well Deserved LJ Post

Oh, thank god it is Friday. Midterms are OFFICALLY OVER! I turned in my Anthro one today, and now I am done. At least, until finals of course. I was supposed to meet up with Marina today, but as usual she asked if she could push back the time. Unfortunately, I already had a set date with
fallen_chloe for our Snape photoshoot! It was great fun, although sadly I broke my roommate straightening iron. ;O; I have to go out and buy a new one tomorrow. Michael came with us as my offical caddy (basically, he carried my stuff, and props and whatnot poor guy), and I hung out in trees, the art basement and the library being extremely Snape-ish. Damn, there are some hot art majors. どしてそんな人々が日本語を勉強していないの!?

Anyways, after that, and playing some Kingdom Hearts 2, it was time for good ol' Nacho night. Then, I rushed back and TRIED to figure out how the heck I am going to get my mp3 player of choice. They are making it extremely difficult on me, and I can't help but wonder if this is a sign from the gods.

My comic didn't appear in the Daily Nexus AGAIN! This time I sent Mark a very berated e-mail asking him what the hell was happening. Of course, I was more polite...but I was very terse. Then, he IMed me, and we talked it over. I wanted to have some kind of compensation for working on the comics, getting them in on time, and still not having them printed. Thankfully, Mark (my boss, I might add) was a gentleman and offered to post two of my comics in next week's paper. I'm still annoyed, but now my feathers are no longer ruffled.

Me and
mojaroja went to "Arabian and Near Eastern" music tonight at the MCC. It was amazing! The guy played at least 6 different instruments (3 flutes, 3 guitar like instruments, and a 2 fiddleish ones...). It was really soothing, while also very lively as well. I feel just a little bit more informed about the world around me now. My favorite one that he played was a flute that was two flutes in one, so he could play two things simultaniously on the same instrument. I feel I am becoming more educated about World Music, but I still want to learn more. Especially about Middle Eastern/ Eastern European music.

(big shout out to Steph for being my photographer)
