Introducing Ortega
Today I had the pleasure of introducing my friend Yukiko to Nacho Night at Ortega. She had never been to a dining commons in America before, so we went together. It was a lot of fun, and we sat talking for a couple of hours over food. Yukiko ate Nachos, Salad, Lasanga, Garlic Bread, Egg Salad, Pasta, Curry Salad, Pie, Water and Coffee. She said she could eat a lot, and it was true. I gave her a tums later, but she seemed to not like it by indicating it had an "American taste". So, I guess American taste includes chalky, wintergreen things. ^_^ Her reaction was very funny though.
At dinner, we discussed Harry Potter, Takarazuka, Yukiko's family, plans on returning to Japan, etc. She is a lot of fun to hang out with.
We also went to Nikka where I bought instant curry, and the curry you make from scratch. Also, the obligatory Gogo no Kocha. I only wish they had the Gogo no Kocha milk tea.
After stuffing ourselves at Ortega, I brought her back to my dorm and showed her around. She was given the usual tour of the common room, bathroom, and my room. We looked through my guide books on Japan, and she kept on repeating that we should hang out in Japan. This makes me happy to know that I will have a friend in Tokyo, let alone a student at my fellow school. Also, her mother is a Takarazuka Dai-Fan and she kept on insiting I meet her as well in Nagoya.
She tried on my Harry Potter costume, and it pleased me that she appriciated the dorkiness of it all. She looked like she was drowning in my cloak though. How sad! ;(

Irony of the Day: Shayna makes me watch her car. It sits there for an hour and a half with no ticket. I go to pick up Yukiko. Am gone from my car for 5 minutes. Come back with a 35$ ticket. Guess what is next weeks comic?

News Flash: Beauty and the Beast the broadway musical is wonderful in a very tortured way. Its like Phantom of the Opera only with a happy ending.
