Scribbling a poem onto my disorganized notes. I saved it, which has proven problematic as my notes will now be missing a page:
Lovely Scars
Retracing dull fingers
Over faded white lines
Remembering you with
Heavy eyes
My heart palpitates:
Is it regret?
Having carved you into me
How do I forget?
The lovely scars
On both our arms
The lovely scars
Reliving past harm
You always noticed that
We carved each other up,
Said: "With you around,
Who needs to self-destruct?"
Our razor love cutting
Into me again
The damage is done
And you've left me for dead
With the lovely scars
On both our arms
The lovely scars
Reliving past harm
Retracing dull fingers
Over faded white lines
The skin will always heal
But not the mind
