I still have 1 quiz, a book to read by Friday, a paper to write by Friday, an exam, and two assignments to finish before the week is through. It's going to be a long week.
In the past couple of weeks Orlando has been getting a lot of love. Bill Clinton came to speak on behalf of Barack Obama about two weeks ago, the Motion City Soundtrack came to play for our school, we've had the Libertarian Presidential Candidate come speak, and on Monday Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton came to speak at Amway Arena. We got there about an hour or so before they were set to speak and we still couldn't see them. There were estimates of 50,000 people being at the event. It was really amazing the sort of crowds this man can bring together. Seeing all of the diversity in crowds like that makes me hopeful that the lesser of two evils will win the election. Then again, I will not be surprised if racism and ignorance triumph this coming November.
I'm going to Daytona this Saturday to participate in a mini Model U.N. at Embry-Riddle College. It's supposed to be a sort of training session for both of our schools so it should be interesting seeing as I barely know wtf I'm doing. I had to turn in my Position Paper for SRMUN (South Regional Model United Nations) this morning. It's basically a research paper to you have to condense into three topics and three paragraphs. The paper is on your Nation's positions on a variety of issues and you must fully become engulfed in the stance of that particular nation regardless of your own belief's. SRMUN is happening next month for four days and I will be driving with a group of kids in my UN Club to Atlanta, Georgia for it.
I just got another letter from USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) telling me to bring more documentation to my interview when it occurs. I haven't actually been given a date for my interview but I take this as a sign that maybe I will be a citizen of this country before year's end.
I still don't know what to be for Halloween. Any ideas?
