I've missed you!! Where have you been? How are you?
Things are going pretty well for me... The main big thing for me is that I've lost a boatload of weight :) Oh, and we're moving to Wisconsin next summer... Yep, fun stuff :)
I hear you on the usual... In the short term, that's about how I'm feeling too. But I can't complain about the long term stuff :)
As for my "secret," I don't actually have one... Can you believe it? :) I just started making all these small changes in my life, one after another, and now I'm actually healthy... I've even taken up running as a hobby!!
And you're ALWAYS welcome to come visit, no matter where I am! R & I are both absolutely in love with Wisconsin, and decided a few months ago officially that we want to move... I'm excited :-D
Oh, must take a look at those icons then! :D Isn't it crazy how well he plays this season? I mean, I thought he was really good (most of the time) last season but this time around, he is just AMAZING!
I'm glad to read that you're doing ok, although that 'somewhat' implies that something not so good is going on at the same time. Feel free to talk to me in case you want to. :)
I'm still in Egypt (I'm working here, dunno if you remember ;P) and... coping. I'm having one of those proverbial bad moments. I'm questioning everything about my life, so yeah, I think that saying I'm somewhat ok describes my situation pretty well, too.
Yes, I remember. Do you like it? The job and Egypt? It's probably really warm and sunny over there... It's so cold and dreary here. Totally depressing.
I think we're in a similar place (emotion-wise) right now, with the questioning and bad moments and all that good stuff... Let's hope for better times, shall we? ;)
The job was great until last summer. I had a very busy schedule, but kept on going and enjoying what I was doing. Things started to get harder and harder after I got back from my holidays. The old pace (workworkwork) has become impossible for me to stand, and I'm still struggling to understand why. I just don't know. I'm stressed, clearly.
Hopefully! It's a cycle of experiences, this life, isn't it? Bad moments are followed by good ones. It's the rule. In the meantime, I'm enjoying little pleasure, might them be a bar of chocolate or a walk on the beach, you know what I mean. They don't change the general picture, but make it more bearable.
Maybe you just need a vacation? Maybe you've just burned yourself out and need time for yourself, away from all that stress.
Yes, I know what you mean. I really try to be optimistic and hang on until the next good moment will come around and cheer me up. It's just hard sometimes.
I think I am... but you never know. I'm kinda meh these days and not the most social person around (understatement of the century).
How are you, hun? I think I read something about being depressed? How did you realize (or is it "admit"?) that you really are suffering from depression? Cause, you know, I seriously think I might have the same problem...

Welcome to the club :(

I've had a hunch I could actually be suffering from "real" depression and not from "melancholy episodes" for ages, but realization only hit me this week after talking to a friend who's also a bookseller in training and going through the exact same thing (we've both had several nervous breakdowns over the summer and have been on sick leave for months). After that I went and looked up symptoms for depression and was shocked to find many of them apply to me. So yeah, next step(s): seek professional help, get properly diagnosed and (probably) started on some antidepressants. Oy...
I hope you will find a good doctor who will actually be able to help you! I think I should start looking for one myself. I was okay for awhile but lately, I've been really down and tired and introverted again...
