I know I am late in posting this, but things have been hectic here (what else is new?).
Crown was very enjoyable for me; other than over lapping three duties in one time frame.
1) I started my training in Field Heraldry (thank you Moira); hopefully I will be able to continue training and learn more at other events.
2) At the Needle Guild meeting I was surprized when it was announced that my device was added to the Service Banner (being recognized for my work in the Guild). The Royal Napkin Project is coming along smoothly. A set was turned in early, so I was able to pass them over to Their Royal Higness's quickly (which they were used in evening Court, so they were delivered at a good time).
3) I started a Mentor/Student relationship with Dutchess Leticia (hopefully, soon, to be Laurel/Apprentice). I already have my first project with her worked out and after some research, I will be able to start the embroidery work.
4) I was asked to be on HRH Catherine's Court. This will be a fun Court!
Yesterday I went to the Surgery Consultant (for my eye surgery). Surgery for my left eye is now scheduled for Nov. 15th. We will be picking up the required eye meds (over $400 worth) on the 1st of Nov., since I do not need to start them until the 11th (plus, we will have the $$ at that time). The right eye surgery should be about four weeks later. If things go right, I will just need reading glasses after all the surgery, we shall see (oops! No pun intended).
My blood sugars are coming down, now betwen 133 & 275. Still need to get the numbers down even more. But, I am not as dizzy as I was these past few months, which is good. I can now enjoy my embroidery times again. Right hand still goes numb, once in a while, but this is due to a pinched nerve in my elbow due to that fall I took in the garage a few months ago. Dr. says that there is nothing he cando about it. Really need to get off my ass and locate a good doctor; one that is into "health prevention" instead of "health maintainence". I really do abhore "pill pushers".
