Well, well, well, my friends list seem to be very interested in ducks. And my plans to take over the world.
Of course, it will take time for me to formalise a post about ducks and taking over the world (especially if written in iambic pentameter) so 'til then, I'm going for the only slightly less popular option:
Random scientific weirdness (aka what lives on my desk at work) featuring pictures!
So, step right up laydeez and gentlemen, step right up! For your amusement and delectation on this fine (rainy) day, I am proud to present! The stuff! On the desk! Of a real! live! radio scientist!
Thrill to the sight of huge piles of scientific papers! Marvel at the vast quantities of teabags! Wonder at the stuff that looks completely out of place! Puzzle about the stuff pinned to the wall!
The stuff at the right hand side of my desk:

Note the cuddly unicorn, bubble mixture, vast stacks of herbal teabags, and of course, the picture of clouds in the background!
Next we have the somewhat less crowded top of the filing cabinet:

With our special guest Beaker (for those difficult scientific moments) and the brass elephant given as a "welcome to the conference" present, all the way from India.
Finally, we have the stuff on the wall above the monitor:

And the flying piglet, currently happily roosting on the corner of my monitor.
Thanks for visiting, laydeez and gentlemen! Tell all your friends and come back soon!
What, you want real
scientific weirdness? Oh, alright. Never let it be said that I disappoint my faithful audience.
Thank you and goodnight/day/afternoon/evening/morning*!
