Japanese Fan Columbine
I would enter this photo into the CWF photo contest if this species of columbine (Aquilegia flabellata) were native to Canada. The rain finally stopped so I took terraprime's advice and took some pictures of the columbine in my front garden with the raindrops still on it. This flower has been in bloom for about a week now - I love it, the colour is so beautiful and it's nice and compact compared to my other one which won't bloom until late summer.
My irises are also about to bloom. I'll have to take pictures of them, too, if not for this contest then at least for the gallery on my yet-to-be-built website.
