Sketch thiiiings. Bit of a backlog here.
Playing with a highlighter and pencil. From the small sketchbook.
In math class, we had these attendance sheets called TOLOPs (Talking Out Loud On Paper) that we'd fill out and turn in at the end of each week. They had space for questions or comments or the like. I always thought it must be very boring to go through piles of them that were just blank but for the barest essential information, so I took it upon myself to spice mine up a bit during the last several weeks of the quarter. This is the first one.
And this is the second. My pencil case (sans a few items that I was using, and plus a devil duckie) propped open with my sunglasses. Perhaps forty-five minutes to an hour's worth of drawing time.
Kaveri going peeeeeeeer under something.
More fiddling with a stylized avatar of myself. I've taken to drawing in my hat because it's one of my sartorial trademarks.
It amused the CRAP out of me to do this one, because it's Vexen and Saix from
kytha's and my steampunk AU. XD
For the last full week. Micron pen, ballpoint pen, brush pen, highlighter. Her hair is actually blue, but the color didn't scan well. Done without references.
Ritika, from my small sketchbook.
is dat some genderbent Sukkatara
yes, yes it is
Concept for high fantasy Suki! The headpiece is based off of the one Skywise wears in Elfquest. She's got riding skirts over close-fitting trousers, greaves, chainmail, bracers, a buckler, a boiled leather breastplate - I'm not sure if she should have tessen in addition to her sword. It's so iconic for the Kyoshi warriors (who are a bunch of knights).
Sometimes one desires a bit of gratuity.
AND THEN SOME. I have had boots+gloves on the brain, and my pencil turned again to Larxene.
Stuff from the ink sketchbook here. Ritika and her swords.
And some Larxenes! There were a couple of other things on the page, but I liked these best. Microns, highlighter, and Copics.
