Thursday rolls around, and I talk about stuff I'm loving this week!

-Chain reaction sketchdumps. I'm really enjoying this. XD

-Steamcon. wat why had I not heard about this sooner
-The latest Abridged YGO episode.
-Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Eeee. (I keep wanting to connect this with Nausicaa.)

Those ink drawings make me so envious. <3 I wish I could ink thus. I must learn myself how to. Damn, those are pretty. They remind me of Amano's ink work...

Synaesthesia is fun! Except when it's not, like when there are goddamn whiny violins all over the classical station and you have to shut the radio off because the angle's too sharp and they (the shapes of the noises) are stretched too far. It 'feels' like they should snap, but they never do, and it makes my teeth itch. And I hate the THX noise like fire. P's not fond of it either, but he lol'd at the face I made when we cued up Hidalgo. (That movie made for squeeful hazel.)

Speaking of cool Castlevania things, if you have not been here or heard these, you totally need to. They are AMAZING omfgomfgomfgomfg and 'Scourge of 1691' is so very EPIC.

And I shouldn't giggle so hard at the nooooo picture; like, I know she (he) WON'T do it but I can picture the sub all 'fuckity christ...♥? omg' from the threat of stompity.

whenever i see bitchboots now i think of the redhead. or trevor. trevor's got some epic bitchy boots too. LOVE.

UGH THE AWFUL VIOLIN THING askjfksdfkaskdf do not want. The THX noise makes me wince and scootch back in my chair every time. Haaaate. (omfg Hazel + Hidalgo is a winning combination. :D)

ISAAC WILL DESTROY YOUR CHAISE LONGUE i am being ridiculous tonight. Honestly though, it'd be cool to see him rendered all shinily. ...And the more I look at Isaac's 'clothing' the more I'm convinced Dracula is a hell of a perv. I mean, yes he put that getup together out of bits of what he had, and he did a respectable job (teh forjmastrs, as we know, CAN alchemy themselves clothing out of raw materials) but - ye gods. YE GODS.

He did keep Those Pants mostly because of the faces Hector makes when he wears them. XD

The violin thing is very annoying. Like - I don't know how to describe the specific sound, I'd need to name a piece and I always turn 'em off - ditto the really aimles sosrt of piano-noodling, it's like feeling little silverish things pop up/out (it's simultaneously sideways and up, kind of like a pinboard crossbred with winAMP's spectrum visualizer with the bars...? I don't know D: ) all around you in stupid haphazard patterns. And I'm going "FUCKING STOP THAT, GET IN LINE YOU LTITLE BASTARDS." I used to figure my 'piano' image/sense was based on what the hammers do when you press a key, but the popping-uppity shape isn't like a hammer, and it's not levered. They kind of *bink!* up/out of the dark inside my brainspace. Violins are a kind of wirelike - oval thingie. They're quite shiny, usually gold or brassy, and the angle of them and how stretched out they are depends on the tone. ...ARGH. I wish i could make movies of how things are in my head. The rising feeling with pipe organs and the red-purple-wine-plum-velvet colour it is, and how it comes up all around in 360 degrees - not everything has a 'look', like, most winds and percussion instruments don't really give me a fixed impression, but violin, piano and organ are vivid as hell. Koto and erhu are starting to make clearer impressions in my head gradually, but they're blurry right now.
