http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/jun/04/david-eddings-dies David Eddings has died following on the footsteps of his wife who also passed away in 2007.
His books were a much needed influence for a young teenager with a bad relationship with her mother. I was a little selfish back then. Hardly anyone else could check out his books in the school or public library because they were always in my possession. The adventures of the Sorceress Pol and Belgarion gave me my courage and smile through desperate times. I have forgotten other books that may have impacted my growth, but Eddings's works always stayed with me. My first screen name, my first purchase from my first paycheck, and my first career. Thank you David Eddings and your late co-writer Leigh Eddings.
