Update of a most productive month... maybe ever.

So I guess there's something to be said for superstitions/traditions.
At Simona's wedding a few months ago I stood in the back and tried to duck when the bouquette was flying towards my face. When I had no choice but to catch it, I told her my mother would thank her later.
Well...  she has. Or she has yet to officially thank her as she's been too busy running around in a state of infuriating ecstasy (my mother, not simona).
How should I put this....

I got married last month. His name is Patrick. I have known him for a long time as he happens to be Suzanne's brother. So in a funny turn of events, Suzanne and I are sisters in law.
Now that it's been over a month, it seems ridiculous that many of my friends don't even know about this (I apologize). It's not a secret, I just haven't gotten a chance to talk to a lot of people. I'm not sure why, partly because it happened so fast and I guess it's seemed like a lot of effort, largely because I feel like there's a lot of explaining to be done. But there isn't really. I hope that my friends who are 'surprised' will still be happy for me, as this is a good thing.
He's liked me for a while, I've known Suzanne's whole family for a few years now. He is a really great guy, and almost intimidatingly smart (but in a good way). Anyway, I visited him in Colorado last month and he proposed, I said yes, and we went to city hall July 1st. That's pretty much it.  I was  kind of shocked and a little appalled at how easy it was to get married. When I told my mother after the fact, she wasn't even bothered that I hadn't told her in advance. this is after all what she's wanted for sooooooo long.

I'm a married woman. I guess that's about all I can say about that. Ceremony (if there is one, won't be till Spring).
My mother is happy (to say the least) for a change and I am also I'm pretty happy at the moment.

Oh yeah, and I bought a car last week,  a little hyundai accent, which I might call Lady because she's super girly and light blue. It's my first vehicle that's actually mine.

So a husband and a car in a couple of weeks time, pretty good I think. Nonetheless, I still refuse to be called an adult so don't let those things fool you.
