hey, guys, does someone here has this doujin -> clicky here? and if so, would it be too much to ask that they share it with me...?

=)

Hello~ I'm the owner of the fuckyeahsorato community and I posted that image. I own the doujinshi (I bought it from another LJ user) and I wouldn't mind scanning a few pages if someone else would like to help me with the translation. I'm just a little rusty with my kanji knowledge.

I can help translate (I'm in process of translating one right now, I just haven't had time to complete it aghh sorry). I can give you a summary but if you want like a page-by-page translation, just be prepared to wait an indefinite amount of time.

I can wait! (I've waited this long to find someone with the doujin, I can wait a bit more =P)

That would be great! My only issue is that since this is my only copy of the doujinshi that I was lucky enough to find (and probably won't ever find another one- ... ever) I'm a little uncomfortable with bending or folding the pages too much. If you guys don't mind that the pages won't be completely flat, I can scan it all for you. Is it okay if I add you?

don't mind at all!

Yeah, it's cool, just LJ message me when you have everything ready.

Oh, yeah, one thing I need to note is that I'm learning the language and if I can't read something (doujin artists sometimes write their own text, which gets illegible at some points) I probably can't do anything about it.

No problem! I took a Japanese language course a few years ago, but I'm pretty rusty now. I get the gist of what's going on in the story, but some of the kanji is throwing me for a loop. If there's something neither of us know, I have a kanji translating dictionary/game on my DS lite (on a flash card), so I can give that a go too. I just wanted to work with someone who was more confident in their translating skills than I am, you know? I don't trust myself. :\

All I have to do is try to get my scanner/printer up and running again since I'm um, ... not very comfortable scanning a doujinshi with sex scenes in it (however tasteful they may be) at a local business. I'm pretty sure I just need to reinstall the drivers and I'll start scanning it tonight.

Sweet. Can't wait.

FFFFUUU this makes me guilty for putting off translating another Sorato doujin for almost 3/4 of a year now due to nonstop schoolwork

Hey, it's you. :)

"Things To Come" has already been scanlated in English by Splash . . . I wish I saw this post sooner! Haha, I actually thought I'd check out the Sorato comm since you enquired about my doujinshi. :3

OK, my post got marked as spam for including the link . . . let's see if this works: Go to pmsinfirm (dot) org (forward slash) orz

You need to register on her website to access it (be sure to read all the rules!), though. It's Taito, one-sided Taiora . . . Sora and Yamato basically have comfort sex because they're both in love with Taichi. And Sora makes Taichi realise that he loves Yamato, IIRC. (Well, it's Nobita Nobi - Queen of Taito.)

And icysnowdrop is actually scanlating with a friend a (pure!) Sorato doujinshi I scanned last year. :)

Fffffuuu I finished translating Things to Come last week. :( My effort is a waste now! Hahaha!

Dude, I am so sorry for not finishing up Himawari no Tsukiyo. There's so much going on in there. I may have to typeset the doujin myself because the person I was working with recently got her computer busted.

Aww, so sad! :( I should find out if LJ can send comm post notifications . . .

I'm curious though: what makes Himawari no Tsukiyo harder to translate than Things To Come? Is the Japanese she uses more advanced than Nobita Nobi's?

That's a bummer. Did she lose all the stuff she'd done so far? :(

Haha I thought maybe you'd forgotten about it since it's been almost a year, thus why I sent you that PM. :3

Things to Come generally has less dialogue and it's more straightforward. Himawari no Tsukiyo uses a whole bunch of verb structures, more kanji, and there's hella dialogue going on in every single page. The fact that Phlilia-Mania handwrote her stuff while Nobita Nobi types hers out doesn't really help either, because Philia-Mania's stuff is a little hard to read at times.

No, she didn't even start because I wasn't done translating. There's some other stuff but I won't get into that.

I'll never forget. :) It's just that I'm graduating this year from college and I haven't actually had a break from studying... 20 units in 10 weeks is tough.

I see. Thanks for the explanation!

I wonder if anyone would volunteer to typeset . . . *looks around*

Don't worry, I can sympathise - I'm graduating from uni this year too. But after just finishing an internship at a newspaper, I am totally ready to jump into the media industry and stop stressing about useless uni assignments . . . ^^; I'm sure you feel the same regarding whatever field you're planning to enter. :)
