The Riots
I feel like I know what its like to live in a war torn country now. My entire community was looted recently. Childhood places destroyed, local businesses, grocery stores, pharmacies ransacked and destroyed. The one Shoprite said it may not ever reopen as a Shoprite, thats how much damage was done.
I've been confined to my house since it started. Its finally quiet here now. No sirens, no shots, no nothing. Our primary election are today and we are supposed to be voting. I dont think I updated my voter reg info but I would still like to go vote.
Im afraid to go outside. I have been for a while to be honest. Since before the rona, the riots etc. Got like this when I discovered I was housing Dot. Despite my feelings I've been trying to do everything to give her a chance. Its weird.
Once again I have more to say but I don't want to be too personal so paper journal it is.
