Yesterday, a big storm hit Pittsburgh. It was cool to watch at my office. It got really dark. The roof beams were quivering. Water leaked in through the windows. The power flickers and went all crazy for a while. The problem has been the aftermath.
People fail to treat dark street lights as 4 way stops causing more traffic than necessary. A giant tree remnant is blocking an entrance to my apartment's parking lot. And despite no visible downed wires along the main road by my building, I have not had power since before the storm.
Everything in my freezer and fridge is rubbish. Livid only begins to describe how upset I am over this inconvience. If Duquesne Light really wanted to apologize for 14+ hours lacking service, they should send checks out to customers to replace lost groceries. Like $1-2 per hour past the time stuff is still good in the fridge.
*RAGE* I better have power when I get home.
