not the way to start any day
I was in a hit and run today. I am fine. The damage to my car is minimal, and needing an assessment.

I was trying to make a left hand turn from the Green Tree exit onto route 121/Mansfield Ave. There was just enough room for me to get across and no one was coming up the hill. I'm making the turn when MINIVAN ON MY DOOR!
I sat there thinking, should I get out of the car and get their plate right now? No no I should get out of the way as not to block traffic for an eternity.
So I pull over into the nearest parking lot and what happens? The driver peels off down the road. I never even got the plate, nor did anyone pull over to help me out.
It was a bad scene and both of us as drivers were at fault. Me for turning left and them for driving in a NON lane. But because I don't have a plate, I'm the only one in trouble.
So now I have a slightly scuffed passenger door and a dent in my wheel well. I'm getting an estimate tonight. If it's less than $500, there is no need to file a report with my insurance.
