Last night was one of the quarterly
Gallery Crawls in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. Here is a scan of the
Event Map because they are too dumb to post an advance copy on the website.
I met up with my friend Joanna and we began our adventure. Our first stop was the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute for tasty food at the low low price of $1 per item. I had eaten so much at the office, so it was quite nice to have a light meal. After fueling up we "crawled"
BEWARE: Random stream of thoughts and descriptions ahead
We saw a really neat performance by the
H20 Contemporary Dance Company. Also got to experience the wonders of Puerto Rico's most valuable asset, the Booty! If you wish to see the booty too, check out the second floor of 937 Liberty Avenue. Have you lost a glove? Check out
One Cold Hand or the display at 820 Liberty. The
Wood Street Gallery was quite an experience in exploring darkness. The top floor was littered with receipt tape
falling from the ceiling. Each heap of tape had a different theme. I found a "winner" and had to
capture it. (NSFW content) The lighting make for some awesome shots. I Am A Heather at Future Tenant was a most excellent exhibit. Met an artist there selling the "Iron" City logo as pictured below. The final "gallery" of awesomeness was
Salon Christine, a new salon in downtown. The interior of that place is most excellent and I think I will be patronizing their place in the future.
I was quite inspired photography wise and got a good number of artistic and cool to me shots of downtown and the art on display.
