overcompensation
Yesterday I had left for work really early to make sure I got there on time. I encountered way more traffic than anticipated, though I made it early, just not as early. Didn't find out until I got home the cause. A major rockslide on route 28 cause one half of it to close down entirely forcing drivers to seek any alternative route available.
This morning, again, I left with plenty of extra time. This time, there was no one on the road. I had overcompensated and actually got to the office before anyone else. /laugh I'll find a happy medium soon.
