opera at the met

On Saturday, December 30th my family and I will see The Metropolitan Opera perform The Magic Flute from the comfort of the Cinemark theater at Pittsburgh Mills. This is the first in a series called The Metropolitan Opera Goes To The Movies. The Met has teamed up with select movie theaters all over the country to offer broadcasts of Saturday Matinees LIVE in HD for the very affordable price of $18 per person. I think this is a spectacular idea. I hope this program succeeds and maybe other stage venues will partake in the opportunity to receive more income from people who honestly want to see the shows but can't afford the travel, lodging, and actual ticket prices. ^^;

Anyway, more details on this series can be found here.
