[they say that idle hands are the devil's workshop, but after finally stumbling back home and passing out in his room for a good half of the day, Sora's not much into leaving the comfort of his bed and the company of his friends to really put that saying into practice ( Read more... )

What an interesting place, Sora-kun. Is it an island?

[A moment later, Naoto draws a sketchy drawing of small Japanese homes and a country road with what looks like a grassy field on the other side (rice fields)] This is where I live with my grandfather.

Hey, Naoto! Yeah, I live on a world called Destiny Islands.

[a pause as he examines her drawing, an eyebrow quirked slightly in thought.]

It looks nice. What was it like there?

As I thought. Those trees don't exactly look like you'd find them outside tropical areas.

[Small pause before writing again] It's a peaceful, quiet country town, quite dull actually. Though, to be honest, I treasure it as my home town.

Riku might call our home dull, too... but I wouldn't trade it for any other world out there.

... Especially not whales.

Some people prefer something different in life. The same scenery and routine day and night become boring to some.

[Pffft] I don't think many people would want the stomach of a whale as their world.

If you were back home, would you still want to see other worlds?

After what I have experienced back in Inaba, I'd prefer to stay at home for a while. Though I have been to another world back home.

You have? What kind of world was it?

At first, it was a foggy and dark world, filled with evil creatures called shadows. But now the shadows and fog are gone so it's now a beautiful mountain range.

Shadows... Hah, that sounds a lot like how my world was, too.

Your world was like that?

Yeah. Our "Shadows" were called Heartless, though. They're the darkness in people's hearts.

That sounds similar to what our shadows are. Do you think you could draw what these heartless look like?

Well, they kind of vary, but your basic Heartless looks like...

[Sora scrawls out what looks like a crude bug creature. it's got the antennae and the big blank eyes, at least, and is colored in by a mess of scribbles.]

These particular Heartless are called Shadows too, actually.

[What an interesting creature...but it doesn't look like the shadows she's seen]

They look almost harmless. Are there more advanced looking Heartless?

They do kind of look harmless until they hit you! But they do come in all shapes and sizes... the biggest one I fought was at least the size of a mountain.
