Is this good? I think it's bad. Unless it's good...

I was looking for some anime to watch tonight (there's so much I haven't seen... ) and I found a comprehensive-looking list of all the anime that one site offered. I decided to paste it into Word and use it to keep track of what anime I watch. Well, I ended up bolding everything I've seen entirely and italicizing everything I've seen part of (there's no way I'm not getting credit for the hundreds of episodes of Prince of Tennis, Inu Yasha, et al that I have watched just because those series go on forever).

Once I deleted everything on the list that I haven't seen and added a bunch more that I remember watching but that weren't on the original list, I ended up with 219 properties listed across five pages. On the one hand, I'm rather proud that I made it that high. On the other hand, if I had had to guess, I would have guessed much higher. Upon reflection, this would have been rather dumb given the time commitment some of the titles on the list require, the fact that I didn't watch much anime for the past three years and the fact that while I have, traditionally, seen four episodes of many new series at Otakon every year (thus adding to the list considerably every year), there have not been as many interesting new series at Otakon for the past several years.

Still, I've been wanting to see more anime for awhile now, and this is the perfect excuse/set up. In addition to writing a list of the anime that I've seen, I also made a list a few days ago of those anime that I've been trying to make my way around to for a long time. Most of them I've already started but had trouble finishing for reasons totally unrelated to their quality. Time to attack that list!
